Northern Ireland Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition 2020!

Posted by Marketing

On the 27th February AMS Technology Solutions exhibited at the Northern Ireland Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition 2020! It was the first and as it happened the last show for 2020 and for the foreseeable future for that matter. Despite the fact that Covid 19 had made it’s way from China to Europe, showing itself first in Italy and then Spain, the attendance was excellent. It was good to see that even in these early days the organisers and the exhibitors were thinking ahead and doing what they could to provide antiseptic hand cleaning facilities for those visiting the show. Remember that this is in the days before the virus had reached the UK and social distancing advice had been given out.

Being a relatively small exhibition space our stand was filled with the smaller end of our equipment line up. Our demonstration FB500 laser cutter was accompanied by the BOFA AD Oracle filter unit which is the usual pairing and very popular in schools. We also showed the excellent Kora ITX 3D Printer inside their SC-01 Safety Cabinet. We demonstrated the issues arising from emissions given off during the 3D printing process and the all round solution that Kora have developed for all 3D printers that filters out up to 97% of the harmful micro-particles otherwise present in the air. Indeed as the day progressed the smell from other 3D printers in the exhibition hall became quite acute even given the windy conditions outside.

Also present on the stand were our partners in Northern Ireland, NI3D Print. With a wealth of experience in 3D printing NI3D Print provide servicing and maintenance contracts for companies that rely on the continued serviceability of their 3D printing hardware at all times. For those that don’t yet have a 3D printer NI3D Print also operate a printing service for your needs. You can get in touch with them through their website at https://ni3dprint.co.uk/

All in all it was a great show and we made some successful contacts at the Northern Ireland Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition 2020! We look forward to returning as and when conditions allow.
